BLUE DAY
Today we watched a video on the digestive system and followed some blueberries down a person's esophagus into their stomach. We also did a lab comparing digestive tract lengths between herbivores and carnivores. Next blue day is the Sophomore retreat so we lose a day together therefore, there is more homework than usual but they have until next Thursday to complete it all.

Short class today because of Ash Wednesday Mass. Today we talked about digestion and tried to taste the sugar present after digestion of starch. We learned that amylase is the enzyme responsible for breaking down carbohydrates in the mouth. We also worked on identifying digestive system organs.
